Is Serious Eats hiring?
At this time, Serious does not have full-time openings. We are receptive to eager writers, though, so pitch something! Contact editor@seriouseats.com.
Does Serious Eats offer internships?
Serious Eats welcomes internship applications. Please send an email telling us a little bit about yourself and your writing, blogging, and/or technical experience to intern@seriouseats.com. Writing samples and links are welcome. Please, no attachments.

Account Questions
Why do I need to set up an account to post a comment?
Registration ensures that spam comments do not get through, which makes finding tasty food info all that much easier. It also helps gather community members' discussions in individual profile pages so you can get to know your fellow serious eaters.
Why do you need my email address?
Your email address is required for account for verification. Don't worry! We won't share your personal information with anyone.
How do I change my username?
Currently we don't support the ability to change your username.
How do I change my password?
If you are logged in, access your profile page. At the bottom of the page, you will see the form labeled "Password Change." Proceed.
How do I change my account's email address?
If you need to change the email address associated with your Serious Eats account, please contact support@seriouseats.com and we'll change it right away.
How do I deactivate my account?
We're sad that you would ask that! :( But if you must, please contact support@seriouseats.com and we'll take care of it.
I just signed up, and I'm having trouble logging in.
Check your spam folder for the account verification email. Click on the link, and your account will be activated.

Oh noes! Your best bet is to delete the Serious Eats cookies in your browser. Then try to log back in. Here is some advice on deleting cookies.

You can expect your prize within 6 to 8 weeks. If it's been longer than that, please send an email to contact@seriouseats.com.
When and where do you publish the winners of the weekly contests?
We publish the winners' names as the last comment of the contest post, and contact the winners by email.

Is there a mobile version of Serious Eats?
Indeed there is! Serious Eats has a full-featured mobile website: Serious Eats mobile. iPhone, iPod touch, or Opera Mini are highly recommended, but not required.
Do you have a widget? I want one for my site!
Yeah we do! It's 160 pixels wide, and it will automatically update whenever there's a new comment posted in the Talk section. Just paste this line of code on your page wherever you want the widget to appear:

Do you have email newsletters?
Totally! We currently offer two email newsletters: a weekly roundup and a weekly recipe.
If you're a registered Serious Eats member, you can sign up to receive the email newsletters from your profile page.
Alternatively, anyone can sign up at the newsletter sign-up page.
